Track and trace
Farmers interested in joining our program must compulsorily participate in the Track and Trace system. This initiative is vital for ensuring the integrity, safety, and quality of beef exports, particularly under the stringent requirements set forth by the South African Department of Agriculture.
Each animal must be individually identified and tracked from birth to slaughter.
All animals must undergo a quarantine period and be tested for specific diseases before being approved for export.
Movement of animals must be strictly controlled to prevent the spread of disease.
Strict biosecurity measures must be implemented, including regular disinfection of facilities and equipment.
Personnel involved in the production and export of beef must be trained in biosecurity protocols.
Beef must be certified as meeting the VPN 59 export protocol standards before it can be exported internationally.
